Drinking Club with a Running Problem
Founded 21 April 2011 · 192+ runs · Hosting India Nash Hash 2027
The Pune Hash House Harriers (PH3) were founded on 21 April 2011 by a motley pack of runners, walkers, beer lovers, and general troublemakers who decided that Pune's hills were too good to waste on serious athletes.
We are part of the global Hash House Harriers family — 1,700+ kennels worldwide, all united by one glorious motto: the drinking club with a running problem. Twice a month, our Hare lays a trail through Pune's forests, forts, and farmland. The Pack follows. The Circle happens. Down-downs are drunk. Virgins are christened.
From Katraj to Khadakwasla, from Sinhagad to the Sahyadri ridgelines — we've hashed it all. And in January 2027, we host the whole of India for Nash Hash #35. On On! 🐾
The Hash House Harriers movement began in 1938 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, when a group of British expatriates founded a unique 'Drinking Club with a Running Problem.' Patterned after the traditional paper chase, the first run was born out of a desire for physical fitness and post-trail camaraderie at the Selangor Club annex, affectionately known as the Hash House.
Today, hashing is practised in almost every corner of the globe. United by a spirit of adventure and a refusal to take life too seriously, harriers everywhere continue to follow the flour marks and the cry of 'On-On!' through jungle, street, and mountain alike.
